One thing I like about living in a student dorm is that you get to know people from all over the world. And cross-cultural chats are a great way to better understand people… and have fun.
Like just the other day Angeliki from Greece got her potatoes from the cupboard, looked at them and said: “I should eat my potatoes. They… they are killing themselves!”
And it made everyone in the kitchen laugh.
Indeed, you do not need complicated English words like “rot”, “decay” or “putrefy” to give an update on your food’s condition.
The world is simple, no matter what county you come from.
